Installed Haroopad on Ubuntu 18.04 and top toolbar is invisible

I installed Harropad on Ubuntu 18.04 x64 with Gnome Desktop and when I run Haroopad the top toolbar is invisible.

If I scroll over the toolbar the individual Toolbar entrys (File, Find, Insert etc) become visible but this makes it almost impossible to use.

Is there a way to fix this ?
