Ctrl-E in VIM mode doesn't scroll

I use Ctrl-E habitually in vi/vim:

In vi/vim, this key binding scrolls downwards in the buffer without changing the cursor position, something very useful to see text further down in the document without changing cursor position.

I noticed immediately when trying to use Haroopad for the first time that this doesn't work and instead inserts "@[]()". I realize this is a markdown shortcut but if you're in VIM mode, shouldn't VIM key bindings override?

Overall, I like Haroopad about the best of the markdown editors I've tried, but I use this binding constantly out of over 20 years of habit and it's quite an impediment to have to undo the text insertion and then remember to scroll using different keypresses.
